Helpful for students and engineers who want to study on the composite materials

I was interested in composite materials, so I studied on the composite material mechanics using its first edition textbook on my graduate course. Recently, I read the third edition textbook to remind my memory and to prepare my new research on the nanocomposites. The Gibson's book, Principles of Composite Material Mechanics, deals with various topics on the composite materials, such as classical theory, basic mechanics, micromechanics, fracture mechanics, and mechanical test of composites. In additional, the textbook has many kind of examples and various figures to help the understanding of reader. Moreover, the new version includes some hot issue, such as particle composites, nanocomposites, hybrid multiscale composites, and finite element modeling. That is why I studied the third edition of Gibson's book again. I think this textbook is helpful for students and engineers who want to study on the composite materials.

This version has been improved greatly

The third version has added some new topics, such as the nano composite material. I'm doing research in this field, but I found few textbook includes these contents, so I think it's very useful to my research. It's also nice to be used as textbook for graduate students in Mechanical Engineering or Material Science fields.
