Not quite as good as the original

"History of Rocketry and Space Travel" was one of the formative books I read as a child. It is long out of print. I bought a copy of this book about twenty years ago in the gift shop at the museum in Huntsville. It is an update to the earlier work, with some newer information. It seems to me to have less charm, but that may be my nostalgia speaking. Given that it is now long out of print, and almost as dated as the original, I'd go for a used copy of the original if you really want such a history piece. But if you run across a copy of this version at a good price, don't be shy. It may help you to recapture, or try to understand, what space exploration meant to those who were inspired by it a half century ago.

This book is the updated History of Rocket and Space Travel,although it does not tell us more than on the Book previously!
Although this is an old book about Rocketry,at least the History is there to read and Von Braun and Ordway wrote a very nice book!
