Out of Date

Fine for a historical reference, but too many changes have occurred to the landscape, routes, and the towns themselves since this book was written.
Having been raised in Nevada I return almost yearly for some back country traveling including hiking and fishing. Bought this book with the intent of locating some forgotten towns and camps. I gave up after 3 attempts resulted in failure, or the finding they lacked the charm I expected. Roads shown no longer exist, or were apparently re-routed in other directions due to washouts over the many years, making the directions given hard to follow, if not impossible in some instances. Too bad GPS locations aren't provided.
Of those obscure locations that can be found, most aren't worth visiting, as they seem to have become dumping grounds, or visited by youths partying and trashing the area.
