About the Author
Dr. Udo Ulfkotte is a respected journalist and a former editor for the German main daily newspaper, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. Dr. Ulfkotte received his doctorate at the University of Freiburg in 2003 in foreign policy. Dr. Ulfkotte is a Fellow of the Marshall Memorial Fund. He was a member of the Policy Planning Staff of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, a Speaker of Bundeskademie for Security Policy, a guest-speaker at the Journalists Academy of Friedrich Ebert Foundation, and taught by 1999-2007 in the Department of Business Administration "security management" at the University of Lüneburg. Since 2008 Dr. Ulfkotte teaches competitive intelligence, defense of economic espionage, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Business Ethics at Californian University . If I didn't know better I'd guess thatcensorship existed in the country that prides ...

If only I could read German. This book is freely available in German but for some inexplicable reason the English translation has been stalled for almost 2 years. If I didn't know better I'd guess thatcensorship existed in the country that prides itself on freedom of speech.
There is obviously an effort to keep the US citizenry from finding out that their much beloved "free press" is little more than a propaganda tool of the deep state. Since the book has been out in German for several years there can be no national security reason for withholding the explosive revelations contained in this book.

Tyranny in America Writ Large In A Super-Large Price

Somebody has set the price of this book -- available in English though it is -- so high as to make it unavailable. I wonder, if some rich or extemely extravagant person were to bye this book at the $1300 price it's offered at, would the author ever see a dime of that? This situation reeks of Stasi or Asian plutocratic realms. We want our freedom back! What are you people (including colluding Amazon) trying to cover up? Shame on you!

This book was "privished"

No, I haven't read the book, because it is priced completely out of my reach. I am giving it five stars anyway because of what I've read *about* it, as I've followed its author's saga -- the blackout by German media of the original German edition Gekaufte Journalisten (Bought Journalists) for a couple of years now, raids by German police on the author's house, his noting how he feared for his life, and his finally being found dead on January 13 of this year "from a heart attack" (he was only 56, and because it is possible to kill someone in ways that look like a heart attack, some people believe he was murdered).

The fate of a whistleblower against one of the world's most powerful organizations in a controlled society being passed off as a democracy?

Two things are abundantly clear: (1) The English translation of this book has been "privished." There are a couple of good recent discussions of what it means to "privish" a book, but Amazon will not allow me to link to them. So let's just say: the purpose of "privishing" is make a book with an unwanted message disappear without a trace by limiting information about it, destroying its marketability by printing too few copies, and refusing reprint rights, so that the copies available are too expensive for readers of ordinary means (which is nearly all of us). (2) Anyone who claims there are no conspiracies, that there are no behind-the-scenes efforts by powerful people to suppress information that would expose their efforts at global domination, is full of crap.

But Gus isn’t normal and Casey deserves someone who can be. Suddenly wanting to be that someone, Gus steps out of his comfort zone and plans to become the most normal person ever.

...And Not Laugh-Cry In Public While Reading This Book (or late at night, or over your cereal...)

TJ Klune writes the absurd and genuine and touching like no other, but with "How to Be a Normal Person" he has created something lasting and ridiculously relevant to every single person whether they're heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, asexual or all those other -uals. He wrote something for hipster men. For lesbian senior citizens. For zombified internet service reps. For me. For you.

At its core, this is a romance. A romance between Gus and Casey? Absolutely! Mostly though, in my humble opinion, it's a romance between Gus and himself. No, it's nothing even remotely creepy, or kinky, but just good old fashioned self love. No! Not onanism...self appreciation? Acceptance? Sigh. You know what I mean. This isn't THAT kind of book. No sexy, sex-sex here, and somehow, the better for it.

I won't be dishing out any storyline summarizing because you really should ride shotgun with Gus for the full experience. There's so much ahead for you- grumpy shopkeepers with quirks galore, visiting writers who digs said quirks, good natured meddlers who may or may not be sisters or polygamous lesbians or sister polygamous lesbians. And, typical Klune style wit and worry and wistfulness. Enough to satisfy, no- quench- the desires of the most dedicated klunatics out there...

I think between all the laughing, and crying, and the ever painful laugh-cry, Klune discovered that little underfed spot in my heart and filled it. I hadn't expected that. The laughs and tears, yes, but not that deep, fully realized satisfaction. So, Gus and gang- thank you for being a friend. Your heart is true. You're a pal and a confidante.

Another fabulous book from this author!

Woah, where do I begin with this one?? An asexual stoner, a socially awkward video-store owner, and three lesbians/possibly sisters walk into a bar....

For those readers who are afraid that this book isn't a classic T.J. Klune book (aka, really, really funny with lots of feelz), never fear! T.J. still brought the laughs (I dare you not to crack a smile at stoner scrabble), and still brought lots of emotion. However, this is a more subdued T.J. Klune. A little more... understated. I actually thought it was an awesomely refreshing change of pace, and though this book felt SO T.J., it also felt more mature in a lot of ways.

Gus was an interesting character. He is quiet, he likes routine, and he fiercely misses his deceased stoner dad. He also hates Michael Bay and pickles... a lot. Though Gus comes out of his shell throughout the course of the book, I really enjoyed how unique he was from other characters that I've seen.

Casey was... I mean, how could I not love a sexy (yes, asexuals can be sexy!), scruffy, hipster with a great sense of humor and an outgoing personality? He was fun and engaging, and I loved how persistent he was with Gus. I also have a weakness for a stoner, as my friends and I went through some... *cough cough*... phases in college. High logic always makes me smile.

Normally T.J. Klune does awesome side characters, but here he really outdid himself. I ADOREDDDDDDD the lesbian/possibly sisters trio of tough motorcycle ladies that made up Gus's crew. I swear, they made the book for me in a lot of ways! What I wouldn't do to have a couple of tough bitches like them by my side. All of them, even Casey's friends, brought something interesting and fun to the table.

In terms of the romance, it was there and it was adorable! Casey brought out the personality and spark in Gus, and Gus was a quiet, loving rock for Casey. I loved their flirtations and their easy banter. The romance was lovely, very slow burn, and, as the blurb suggests, verrrryyyyyy G rated. In fact, if you are looking for something more explicit than a couple of kisses and some hugs, look elsewhere. I completely bought the romance, though I struggled a bit, if I'm being honest, with the whole asexuality aspect.

It is hard for me, being so far on the other end of the asexuality spectrum, to imagine a relationship with someone with whom even physical affection is difficult. A lot of the way I show and perceive love with my SO is through pats on the butt, spontaneous make out sessions, and feeling physical closeness to my husband. I'm a very affectionate, sensual person. Gus always asked permission to even hug Casey, and I simply could not imagine myself in that kind of situation. Now, I recognize that this is 100% my own issue and, in fact, this kind of incompatibility is discussed in the book, but it made the chemistry in the story feel a little less potent for me, if I'm being perfectly honest.

However, that being said, I think that Casey and Gus were a great match. Gus understood and respected Casey's limits implicitly and vice versa. I also appreciated how the book educated us readers a little on the sexuality spectrum without feeling too didactic. It flowed naturally with the story.

I think if you are looking for an offbeat, well done, super funny, sweet romance, you've found your match with this story. Though it is relatively low angst and shows a more subdued style, it still leaves a big impact with characters you won't soon forget.

One of the best books I have ever read. Sweet and hysterical!

You should probably read this book by yourself or with people who are tolerant of frequent outbursts of laughter. At about the 40% point in the book, things just go so funny. The characters are funny, the things they say are clever and snarky. TJ Klune is a very gifted writer. How he can go from writing something that makes me guffaw and within seconds has me wiping away tears is just....amazing oh my god. :)

I love Gus. I love Casey. I really like Casey's friends. (Well, two of them, anyway.) The rest of the characters are fine, too, but they are not the stars, make no mistake. This story is all about Gus, Casey and Gus's mind.

Yeah, there's pot smoking in this book. I don't smoke pot. But you know what, it's written in a charmingly funny way. If that's not 'reality' I really don't care because it's fiction, which, btw, I read to escape from the problems in life.

Honestly, I read a lot. I like a lot of books. But I don't always s-l-o-w down my reading so it doesn't end too quickly. That's how I know it's a really good book. I slowed this one down a whole lot. And....I think I"ll read it again. It's just that well written and entertaining!

George Case is a writer on ideas and popular culture, and an acknowledged authority on the band Led Zeppelin. ...then read this book. A little bit too much emphasis placed on clearing up the Page 'occult' rumors/theories, but other than that - a fun read about a great one-of-a-kind band. (I'll never understand the people that put these guys down)

CASE FILE: the facts

at first I was reluctant to buy this book - but I found it very interesting and very useful (especially since I too have been published since 1982 and am a BIG Led Zeppelin/solo members fan. The book is categorized - its not a another remake of a remade remake LZ book. There were a few little errors (like TWINKLE song listed wrong - the right title is "Terry") There are slight errors which the proofreader THE AUTHOR could have caught. Very good indeed, all thats left to know I am sure would be autobiographies by the 3 remaining band members. Another thing worth mentioning is that chapters are titled after song lyrics. clever.

If you're a Zep fan and never tire of reading about them, then get this book. Great book to just pick up whenever and flip to a page and start reading. Definitely a great buy for a Zep fan.

Associate professor of Decision Sciences in the College of Business at Rochester Institute of Technology. He teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in operations management and management science. Dr. Stevenson is the author of textbooks in management science, statistics, and operations management. His articles have appeared in Management Science, Decision Sciences, Quality Progress, and other journals. He received a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, an MBA, and a Ph.D. in production/operations management, from Syracuse University.

Operations Management made easy

Operations Management made easy with this book. The book is bulky and so was the course load but learned a lot and the book was awesome. There is a lot of calculations involved and the book actually shows how to do them using Linear Programming, Excel and what not. The chapters were well laid out and they kept building on previous chapters so the flow was pretty good. I had a really lazy professor who went to skip a chapter but I stuck with the book and life was a lot easier. The end of chapter solutions are somewhat tricky but if you pay attention, they shouldn't be big deal. The best part of the book is resale price. I bought this book, used it for a whole semester and then traded it in at at least +10% on Amazon. So the book was literally free for me.

I would reconsider buying this book from Amazon because I had to get this book for a class and needed the access code that came with it for the course. I ordered the new version of the book because Amazon stated that it came with the access code but when the book came there was no code in the book. Now Im going to have to buy the code separate since I can't wait for a replacement before my first assignment is due, which is another $100 out of my pocket I didnt want to spend! Definitely going to reconsider getting books from Amazon in the future

Really liked this textbook and was a little sad that I had to return the rental but we couldn't afford to pay the difference. I really feel like I learned a lot from this book and it wasn't too dry or boring at all. I used McGH Connect with it and he problems weren't too difficult if you had your textbook and notes.I got an A in this class so I was very pleased with it.

This book does what Apple intends it to do, I guess. It explains everything server does from a strictly Apple training point of view. But I was disappointed that it's not loaded with advanced tips and tricks. For that, you will still have to use the Internet.

Mr Joe Crews is a well-versed and obviously well-educated man who has high standards in mind for his readers according to God's plan and instruction. He is careful to warn that this book is not for the unconverted soul but rather for those who possess morals, spiritual characteristics and are interested in serving God and obeying his promises everyday of their lives.

His view on important issues such as Television, Dress and Lifestyle, reveal the tiny things that have led many Christians to compromise God's standards because they have spent too much time in the presence of wordly activities and people that they become comfortable in viewing and partaking of worldly ativities.

This book is a challenge for all who seek to walk in Christ's footsteps. I agree it may be tough and may seem extreme at first but that is what makes us different from all persons who are living a life of sin, in that Christians are to be a peculiar people living in the world but not of the world...
