Interesting Topic: Only Lightly Addressed...Leaves You Wanting More

Truscello's book is well-written and edited, and is an entertaining - if too brief - glimpse into the world of psychic healing and the metaphysical world.
The book opens with 3 stories of individuals and their experiences with demons and possession. Each of these individuals Truscello has personally worked with, which seemed to have made them more meaningful. The stories themselves were interesting and kept my attention. (I do wish she had revealed the name of the 3rd individual, as I would have liked to have followed up by reading the books that that woman wrote).
The second part of the book deals with the "4 steps". Unfortunately, there is little information provided as to how to achieve those steps. The chapter concerning The Lord's Prayer and its relationship to the chakras is well-developed and thought-provoking, but the other chapters regarding the "4 steps" leave something to be desired. Explanations of the steps are given - what they mean - but in most cases we aren't given any information as to how to achieve them.
Overall, this book reads more like the transcript of a lecture or seminar than a book, or even a chapter in a text book.
It should also be mentioned that this book is VERY religious. "Spiritual" Psychic should clue you in to what to expect - God will have a place in this book. And this is fine if you are expecting it, but may not be what every seer/healer/psychic is looking to read about or believes in. I did take exception to a particular comment about abortion that is thrown in early in the text. It felt to me like unnecessary preaching as opposed to instruction. (I didn't take away stars because of that comment, but this is NOT a moral guidebook and should not have been used as one.)
The Spiritual Psychic was interesting even though it only glossed over the topics it addressed. -2 stars for lacking content but +1 for the content that was in it being so interesting. Ms. Truscello - Do take this book and expand upon it. This feels like only the beginning of a great idea.
Disclosure: I am not a psychic, nor am I religious. I do believe in possibility that some people do have abilities that science can't explain. It was suggested that I read this book by a friend and I have attempted to review it with a very open mind. So when the agnostic,non-psychic, scientist says she wants more, you know there must be something compelling there.

A fascinating, immensely readable, extremely thought-provoking book.

I was very drawn to this title because of the combination of 'psychic' - something which has always fascinated me, but which I have recently held at arms length, precisely because of the possibility of dark forces at work - and 'spiritual'; in my mind a force for good, for healing and for growth.
And I was not disappointed.
The first part of the book cites cases where the person involved has laid themselves open to intrusion by energies and psychic forces - sometimes willingly, sometimes due to ignorance and sometimes in an attempt to protect another person.
It becomes quite clear that a degree of self-protection is necessary when 'dabbling' in this often unknown territory - a protection which most people don't even consider, and wouldn't know how to access even if it occurred to them. As the author, Nora Truscello, points out, this applies even to people using a practice as seemingly innocuous as meditation.
Ms. Truscello has years of experience in the psychic field. She speaks of how she has evolved over her lifetime and how she has become increasingly aware of the need to use spirituality for protection. In her case, the Catholic religion, but she urges the reader to consider their 'own' religion (the one they were born into), arguing that before we were even born that was our 'chosen' means of exploring our Spirituality.
So in the second part of the book she lays down four clear steps to be taken for this self-protection: focussing on an 'ideal' figure - a person or thing - to aim towards; training the ego to look past its own desires in order to be of service; clearing the energy system; and finally, the power of prayer, in particular 'The Lord's Prayer'.
This is a fascinating book, immensely readable, which leaves one thoughtful and certainly persuaded by the advice put forward by the author.

THE Guide For Healers and Lightworkers For Confronting The Supernatural

Nora Truscello recounts many of her dealings with the supernatural and teaches you how and why to protect yourself against evil and demons in this very interesting and fast reading book, The Spiritual Psychic: 4 Necessary Steps For Healers & Light Workers To Protect Against Evil & Demons. Yes, demons, ghosts, spirits, and other evil beings are very real and can be very dangerous, sometimes destroying lives. We all need to know how to protect ourselves and avoid them whenever possible. She explains the ways you need to prepare yourself in order to be protected and not become a victim yourself. If you are a healer or light worker, this is THE guide for you.
I have personally seen several ghosts myself. There was a little old lady apparently in here 80's who lived in our house when we bought it. She was harmless, and seemed unsure of who I was or why she was still here, but I didn't want the kids to be scared by seeing her, as I had watched her several times pacing. Since I had enough spiritual strength to deal with it, I sent her on her way with just a few words, invoking the name of Jesus and instructing her leave. She was gone in seconds. Had she been dangerous, I would have sought professional help after much prayer..
Unless you have prepared yourself and studied, I say don't try this at home or at anyone else's home. You will endanger yourself and those around you. Nora teaches you what methods to use to prepare yourself should you make the attempt or be faced with the problem. She also explains many reasons the ghosts remain behind, why one can have a demon or spirit attach, and why one can become the target and even become possessed. She explains the techniques and mindset necessary to take on the dangerous job of expelling these spirits.
Whether or not you have supernatural problems or know those who do, or work in this avocation, you should read this book. It is very inspirational and interesting. Once I started I wasn't able to stop reading. I am interested in reading more of her experiences. I highly recommend getting this book.
